The operators of these pages take the protection of your personal data very seriously. We treat your personal data confidentially and in accordance with the legal data protection regulations and this privacy statement.

The use of our website is usually possible without providing personal data. Insofar as personal data (such as name, address, or e-mail addresses) is collected on our pages, this is always done, as far as possible, on a voluntary basis. This data will not be passed on to third parties without your express consent.

Please note that data transmission over the Internet (e.g. when communicating by e-mail) may have security vulnerabilities. Complete protection of data against access by third parties is not possible.

A detailed privacy statement can be found below.

Privacy statement

We only process personal data (hereinafter mostly referred to as “data”) within the scope of necessity and for the purpose of providing a functional and user-friendly Internet presence, including its content and the services it offers.

According to Art. 4(1) of EU Directive 2016/679, i.e. the General Data Protection Regulation (hereinafter referred to as “GDPR”), “processing” means any operation or set of operations which is performed on personal data or on sets of personal data, whether or not by automated means, such as collection, recording, organisation, structuring, storage, adaptation or alteration, retrieval, consultation, use, disclosure by transmission, dissemination or otherwise making available, alignment or combination, restriction, erasure or destruction.

The purpose of the following privacy statement is to inform you in particular about the nature, extent, purpose, duration, and legal basis of the processing of personal data, insofar as we decide, either alone or jointly with others, on the purposes and means of the processing. Furthermore, we would like to inform you as follows about the third-party components we use for optimization purposes and to increase the quality of use, insofar as third parties process data under their own responsibility as a result.

Our data privacy statement contains the following sections:

I. Information about us as controllers
II. Rights of users and data subjects
III. Information on data processing

II. Rights of users and data subjects

With a view to the data processing described below in more detail, the users and data subjects have the right

to obtain confirmation as to whether or not personal data concerning him or her are being processed, information about the processed data, additional information about the data processing, and copies of the data (see Art. 15 GDPR);

In addition, the provider is obliged to inform all recipients to whom the provider has disclosed data of any rectification or erasure of data or any restriction on processing under Articles 16, 17(1), 18 GDPR. However, this obligation shall not apply if such notification is impossible or involves a disproportionate effort. Users and data subjects also have the right, pursuant to Art. 21 GDPR, to object to processing of personal data concerning him or her insofar as the data are processed according Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. This applies in particular to an objection to data processing for direct marketing purposes.

III. Information on data processing

Your personal data, which was processed while using our website, will be deleted or blocked as soon as the purpose of storage no longer applies, there are no legal storage obligations preventing us from deleting the data, and no other information on individual processing methods is subsequently given.

Contact requests/Ways to contact us

If you use the contact form or email to contact us, the data you provide will be used for the processing of your request. The provision of the data is required in order to process and respond to your request – if the data are not provided, we cannot respond to your request, or can only do so to a limited degree. The legal basis for this processing is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.

Your data will be deleted if your request has been conclusively answered and there are no legal storage obligations preventing us from deleting the data, such as in the case of a possible subsequent performance of a contract.

Linking to social media via graphics or text links

We also integrate the following social media sites into our website. The integration is achieved via a linked graphic of the respective network. The use of these graphics stored on our own servers prevents the automatic connection to the servers of these networks for their display when accessing a website featuring a social media presence. Only by clicking on the corresponding graphic will the user be forwarded to the service of the respective social network.

After the user is forwarded, the respective network will collect information about the user. It cannot be ruled out that such data will be processed in the United States.

Initially, this data includes such things as your IP address, the date and time of your visit, and the page visited.  If the user is logged into his user account on that network, the network operator might assign the information collected about the user’s specific visit to his personal account. If the user interacts by clicking a “share” button of that network, this information can be stored in the user’s personal account and possibly posted. If the user wishes to prevent the collected information from being assigned to his user account, he must log out before clicking on the graphic. The respective user account can also be configured accordingly.

The following social networks are integrated into our page through a link:

LinkedIn

LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company, Wilton Plaza, Wilton Place, Dublin 2, Ireland, a subsidiary of LinkedIn Corporation, 1000 W. Maude Avenue, Sunnyvale, CA 94085 USA.

You can find the privacy policy of LinkedIn and the certification to the EU-US privacy framework (“EU-US Privacy Shield”) here.

Google Analytics

Our website uses Google Analytics. This is a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, hereinafter referred to as “Google”.

Through certification according to the EU-US Privacy Shield, Google guarantees that it will follow the EU’s data protection regulations when processing data in the United States.

The Google Analytics service is used to analyze how our website is used. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in the analysis, optimization, and economic operation of our site.

Usage and user-related information, such as IP address, place, time, or frequency of your visits to our website will be transmitted to a Google server in the United States and stored there. However, we use Google Analytics with the so-called anonymization function, whereby Google truncates the IP address within the EU or the EEA.

The data collected in this way is in turn used by Google to provide us with an evaluation of visits to our website and what visitors do once there. This data can also be used to provide other services related to the use of our website and of the Internet in general.

Google states that it will not connect your IP address to other data. In addition, Google provides further information with regard to its data protection practices here, including options you can exercise to prevent such use of your data.

In addition, Google offers an opt-out add-on here together with further information. This add-on can be installed on the most popular browsers and offers you further control over the data that Google collects when you visit our website. The add-on informs Google Analytics’ JavaScript (ga.js) that no information about the website visit should be transmitted to Google Analytics. However, this does not prevent information from being transmitted to us or to other web analytics services.
